Our Child Support Assistant plays an integral role in delivering the Fun Bus mobile playgroup service, Fun in the Parks school holiday program and children's and family-centric activities. We are looking for motivated professionals who can deliver high-quality contemporary children's activities across Darwin's diverse community.

About the role:

The role will focus in providing support to the Child's Play Coordinator and Support Officer on delivering high quality educational and play-based activities for the diverse Darwin community. The day to day responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Work respectfully and constructively to meet multiple demands and resolve behavioural issues involving children and young people in a consistent manner.
  • Ensure children are adequately supervised at all times and participate in creating and maintaining a safe environment for children and families.
  • Lay out Children's activities before the children arrive and tidy away at the end of the session.
  • Actively encourage and promote children to engage in the activities.

The role requires physical lifting of equipment and participation in physical outdoor activities with children and families.

Hourly Rate: $31.73 per hour plus 25% casual loading.
