Strong focus on stakeholder engagement
Deliver operational excellence
Influence strategic planning

A thriving capital city, Darwin is also Australia's gateway to Asia, and a rapidly growing commercial hub and administrative centre with its' own unique heritage and culture.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership team, you will be the driving force behind the operations and service delivery of a strategically important portfolio - City Planning, International Business Relations and Economic Development, and Tourism and International Relations.

A high profile and visible role, you will be a vital touchpoint and interface between Council and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders - all having a major influence on the City of Darwin's strategic objectives and 2030 long-term vision.

Tertiary qualified in Business or Tourism, you are first and foremost an exceptional communicator with an innate ability to form long term, collaborative working relationships while also delivering on critical operational and strategic objectives. A background in similar senior level, commercially focused roles in Local Government would be ideal, although not essential. Likewise experience managing major works and/or extensive property portfolios.

This is a real opportunity to bring your drive, engagement skills and passion to a forward-thinking Council totally focused on making a positive difference to the City and its' people. A highly attractive financial rewards and benefits package and the great Territory lifestyle make this one of the most attractive senior-level opportunities across both the public and private sectors.
